Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) Denture Services Toronto
If you have coverage through the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) and need dentures or denture treatment, we can help you understand your options.
At Cohen Cosmetic & Emergency Denture Clinic, we have been providing denture care in Toronto since 1982.
CDCP Denture Care in Toronto
If you are a CDCP patient and need a new denture, partial denture, repair, reline or adjustment, the first step is to have your denture needs assessed.
We will discuss your situation with you and explain the treatment options that may be appropriate. We can also help you understand how CDCP coverage may apply to the service you require.
CDCP coverage is different for every patient and depends on eligibility, the treatment required and the current rules of the plan. Some services may require preauthorization, and a portion of the cost may not be covered.
We believe you should understand the treatment and expected costs before proceeding.
Denture Services for CDCP Patients
Depending on your individual coverage and the requirements of the Canadian Dental Care Plan, certain denture services may be eligible for coverage.
Complete Dentures
Complete dentures replace all of the teeth in an upper or lower arch. We can discuss whether a new complete denture is appropriate for you.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures replace missing teeth while working with the natural teeth that remain.
Denture Repairs
If your denture is cracked, broken or damaged, we can assess the problem and discuss the appropriate repair.
Relines & Adjustments
When a denture no longer fits comfortably, an adjustment or reline may sometimes improve its fit.
Do You Need New Dentures?
Dentures can change over time. They may become loose, uncomfortable or worn, particularly as the shape of your gums and jaw changes.
If your existing dentures are causing problems, we can assess them and explain whether a new denture, repair, reline or adjustment may be the better option.
Already Have Dentures?
A new denture is not always necessary.
In some cases, an existing denture can be repaired, adjusted or relined. We look at the condition of the denture and your individual needs before recommending a solution.
What to Bring to Your Appointment
If you are coming to the clinic for a CDCP denture consultation, please bring your current dentures if you have them, along with your CDCP information and any documents you have received regarding your coverage.
It is also helpful to tell us what is bothering you about your current dentures, whether it is fit, comfort, appearance, chewing or something else.
